All work is individually made by hand. The clay body is a custom made stoneware that is dipped and painted with a fine layer of white clay. After the initial bisque firing, each design is hand-painted and then fired in a gas kiln to approximately 2250 degrees. This atmospheric firing creates a wide range of color gradation and depth in both the clay body & glaze. While we strive for consistency in reproducing the work we also embrace the results of a handmade ceramic process in which no two pieces will be exactly alike.
