THE BONDAGE JAM by LUHMEN D’ARC
…functions a bit like a milonga at tango. People come together to bondage together, enjoy sessions, practice, exchange ideas, or simply watch and gather initial impressions and experiences. There is no fixed structure; participants are free to interact respectfully and openly, get to know each other, and bond with each other.
The studio is equipped with nine suspension points – one of which is a bamboo pole – so that suspensions can also be used. We welcome all visitors, from the curious to the experienced.
THE NEWBIE INTRO…
…will be held at 12:30 p.m. as a short introduction for those participating for the first time and who have no prior knowledge. This session covers the basics, especially basic safety and consent issues. The newbie intro is more informative and intended as a taster. Those who really want to learn about bondage should attend the SHIBARI BASICS – INTRO DAY and other workshops. Tickets for the intro and the jam are available below.
THE ART OF TIE UP WITH ROPES…
… – known in Japanese as Shibari or Kinbaku – is a fascinating body practice that offers a broad spectrum of physical, mental, and emotional experiences. Shibari has much in common with dance, with yoga and meditation, has a performative and a touching aesthetic dimension. The bondage and the bondaged can shape their encounter in a variety of ways: in a trusting game of power and submission, in empathetic communication and mutual devotion, in deep connection and intensity. A fascinating body art form worth exploring!
