18:30 · Healing Circle – Inner Healing Encounterceremony for everyone · 2 hours PT

A safe space for connection, reflection and healing, inspired by indigenous perspectives from the Amazon. At its heart lies the question of how healing can be understood as a relationship – with ourselves, with other people, with nature and with the world around us. Through conversation, reflection and ceremonial elements, Adana creates a space for exchange and personal experience. In doing so, she combines indigenous cosmologies, spirituality and knowledge of plants with a holistic perspective on the body, health, care and connectedness.

Important:
– Audio and video recordings are not permitted during the ceremony.
– Part of the ceremony may involve the traditional practice of rapé, a herbal tobacco mixture from the Amazon region that is blown into the nose using a blowpipe. Participation in this is entirely voluntary.
– Gerne Sitzkissen mitbringen

Adana Omágua Kambeba in the Switzerland 15–23 September 2026

During her stay in the Switzerland offers Adana Omágua Kambeba a variety of formats for universities, research institutions, cultural institutions and the interested general public.

Dr Adana Omágua Kambeba is a doctor and a guardian of knowledge for the Omágua-Kambeba people. Her work lies at the intersection of indigenous medicine, Western science and intercultural dialogue. As the first indigenous woman from her people in the Brazilian Amazon to study medicine at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, she combines medical practice with a commitment to the recognition of indigenous knowledge systems as independent traditions of knowledge and science.

At the centre of her work lies a holistic understanding of health and healing: The person is not regarded as an isolated individual, but rather as part of a network of relationships between community, territory, plants, ancestors and the more-than-human world. As author of academic publications and international speaker Adana develops new perspectives on health, inner healing and the relationship between different systems of knowledge.

In her research and outreach work, she combines medical science with indigenous cosmologies, spirituality, environmental responsibility and cultural rights. Concepts such as Lived Kinships, Confluence and Cosmic Diplomacy open up new avenues for a respectful exchange between indigenous and Western knowledge.

Through her work, Adana Omágua Kambeba contributes to international debates on health, mental health, biodiversity, the climate crisis and indigenous rights. Her perspective embodies a form of medicine based on relationships, responsibility and care – and an understanding of health that combines scientific knowledge with cultural diversity and planetary interconnectedness.
