“The dream becomes reality –
but reality is not the dream.” Bettina Bettini
In January, the personal planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Mars) crossed the threshold into Aquarius together. In doing so, they encountered the powerful and transformative Pluto and gained insight into the depths of the underworld. Pluto represents Hades, the god of the underworld. Here, power is profoundly renewed, revealing itself as a new inner and outer order.
Between February 3 and 27, the personal planets once again enter a phase of great tension. This time not with the underworld, but with Uranus, the god of the sky and ruler of Aquarius. Uranus brings the unexpected. What no longer belongs to you, falls away. This affects feelings, thinking, relationships, actions and identity, as all personal planets pass through this tension with Uranus.
February reveals itself as wild, free and unpredictable.
What is considered normal belongs to the past; the new feels renewing and demanding at the same time. As events unfold, consciousness expands – an upgrade on all levels.
Between security and renewal, courage, flexibility and inner stability grow.
Look at where Aquarius and Taurus are placed in your birth chart –
this is where the greatest liberations, restructurings and changes will occur.
Parallel to the tension of the personal planets with Uranus, further cosmic highlights unfold. Around the middle of the month, Saturn and Neptune meet in a historically unique way at the beginning of the Aries-sign – a coming together not seen for thousands of years, in which dream and reality newly intertwine and demand embodiment. Shortly thereafter, a partial solar eclipse in Aquarius brings unexpected turns with a conciliatory, peace-bearing quality. Toward the end of the month, retrograde Mercury slows the pace, turns attention inward and calls for particular mindfulness around February 28.
February – chronological overview:
February 1 – Full Moon Leo–Aquarius – I and WE – creative energy
The month begins with a Full Moon that not only illuminates but existentially intensifies the tension between the individual and the collective. Aquarius represents a new quality of time in which collective fields, networks and systems set the framework. The Moon in Leo embodies the personal – the desire to feel, create and be seen. The individual must integrate without giving themselves up and learns that effectiveness today requires connectivity.
At the same time, you can shine with your innovative creativity and attract a broad audience or collective forces.
February 3 – Mercury sextile Chiron – mindful speaking
In the days that follow, a sensitive zone opens in thinking and communication. Words reach tender points more quickly, and conversations reveal inner truths that previously struggled to find expression. Insight arises less through explanation than through allowing.
February 4 – Uranus turns direct – freedom brings uncertainty
With Uranus turning direct, inner tensions that previously operated beneath the surface become more apparent. The need for change can no longer be postponed. At the same time, it becomes clear that freedom does not simply mean expansion, but also instability.
February 4 – Venus sextile Chiron – healing of love
Relationships enter a healing, though not comfortable, contact with old wounds. Closeness arises where vulnerability is allowed, not where harmony is maintained. Questions of value become sensitive, revealing what no longer aligns inwardly, even if it still functions outwardly.
February 5 – Mercury square Uranus – fast, impulsive thinking, speaking and quick solutions
Thoughts become erratic, insights break through suddenly. Linear thinking dissolves. This is a moment when consciousness is faster than the ego – the tongue faster than the brain. Not every insight can be integrated immediately, but each marks a boundary beyond which there is no return.
This day is suitable for brainstorming and thinking differently than usual, used constructively.
February 6 – Mercury enters Pisces – thinking becomes felt
With Mercury’s entry into Pisces, the attempt to steer processes rationally dissolves. Thinking becomes permeable, associative, sometimes diffuse. Decisions elude clear arguments and follow inner resonance instead. Artistic activities, especially music and poetry, benefit from this influence.
February 8 – Venus square Uranus – sudden love experience
Relationship patterns come under tension. The need for closeness collides with the desire for freedom. Existing bonds reveal where they have become too tight. Not every disturbance calls for separation, but it clearly shows where development is needed.
A day to try something new and pleasurable – a new hobby, dancing, a new outfit, opening a relationship.
February 10 – Venus enters Pisces – merging
Venus in Pisces shifts the relational level from stability to compassion. Boundaries soften, ideals intensify, but projections become more likely. Love seeks merging rather than structure, deepening closeness while making orientation more difficult.
February 14 – Saturn enters Aries – control becomes stricter
With Saturn in Aries, a phase of strong personalized responsibility begins. At the same time, stricter control from authorities or the state can be expected. External structures dissolve and increasingly lose their supporting function.
February 16 – Sun square Uranus – impulsivity
The desire for individual freedom collides with existing conditions. Inner rebellion arises where self-determination feels restricted. At the same time, it becomes clear that not every limitation has an external source. Freedom must not exclude responsibility. Allow the unfamiliar – be bold and uninhibited.
February 16 – Mercury trine Jupiter – good conversations and business
Despite the tensions, a broader context of meaning opens. Thoughts expand, perspectives widen. This breadth is not yet ready for concrete implementation, but it offers orientation during transition.
February 17 – New Moon in Aquarius – annular solar eclipse – radical honesty
This New Moon marks a threshold moment. The New Moon in Aquarius brings clarity, inner distance and the desire for freedom. Emotions are observed rather than deeply engaged, enabling sober insight. Old bonds, roles or goals may suddenly no longer feel aligned. This is not a suitable time for drama, emotional dependency or intimate clarifying conversations. It is suitable for clear decisions, conscious boundaries and realignment. Future visions, innovative ideas and collective projects are supported.
The central question of this New Moon is:
Am I still living what truly corresponds to me?
February 18 – Sun enters Pisces – gentleness
With the Sun’s entry into Pisces, the focus shifts from thinking to feeling. Control gives way to surrender, clarity to sensitivity. The ego steps back in favor of a greater whole. The Pisces month appears dreamy and is also suitable as a fasting period – inwardly as well as outwardly. It is the concluding month before the Sun enters Aries on March 20 and a new annual cycle begins.
February 20 – Saturn conjunct Neptune – dreamlike states
Gentleness is further intensified by this aspect. A day with a dreamlike mood – much feels intangible, unclear and illogical. There is a strong sense of connectedness: with other people, with moods, with something greater. Empathy and compassion are heightened; one senses more than can be explained. Dreams, daydreams and inner images carry important messages – less logical, more symbolic.
From February 18 to 21, important decisions should be avoided. The margin for error is higher, and tasks requiring precision are better postponed.
February 22 – Mars sextile Chiron – healing activity
Action once again touches the inner wound. It becomes apparent where activity arises from compensation and where from awareness. Courage here does not mean assertion, but mindful action. Through conscious movement, the body can receive great healing power.
February 22 – Venus trine Jupiter – love is in the air
One of the best days to celebrate life. Great and small happiness meet in Cancer. Around this time, the energies are especially suitable for family gatherings, weddings and friendships. Relationships and values experience gentle expansion. Generosity and trust become possible without losing oneself. Hope does not arise from security, but from inner alignment.
February 26 – Mercury turns retrograde – rien ne va plus
The messenger of the gods turns retrograde three times a year for three weeks. This time it does so in Pisces, blurring the contours of communication. Things do not appear as they are, but vague and unclear. Important decisions are best postponed until March 20. In commerce, old agreements and contracts return to the table.
The focus turns inward. Old thoughts, conversations and decisions return to be re-evaluated. Forward movement slows in favor of reflection.
This is especially noticeable in traffic, communication, trade and travel.
February 27 – Mars square Uranus – impulsive, risk of accidents
Restlessness and impatience increase. The urge for liberation can become explosive. Acting on impulse carries the risk of rupture if not internally grounded. Do not allow yourself to be provoked; consciously hold back.
As Mercury is also retrograde, there is an increased risk of misunderstandings that can also lead to accidents. Stay attentive and avoid unnecessary risks.
February 28 – Retrograde Mercury in conjunction with Venus – loving conversations
At the end of the month, thinking and feeling reconnect in a retrograde way. Old values are newly felt, old words take on different meanings. You find the right words – not to decide, but for clarification and realignment. The energy is especially suited for poetry and music.
